About

Moment Theatre Collective is the team behind the 2026 One Acts Now short-play festival in Montreal.

We're building a welcoming, low-pressure space for creators to develop and stage short works for the community. Our first festival runs April 18, 19, and 25, 2026, at Theatre VME.

The festival

The event is two weekends of 10–25 minute plays with minimal technical requirements. Local artists use this opportunity to try new ideas, meet collaborators, and share their work with an audience.
